Meeting with academic advisors early and often will be important for you to stay on track to finish your degree. Determining which advisor to meet with will be dependent upon where you are in your academic career:
Please contact a transfer Admissions counselor for more information. You can also visit the Prospective Student Center on UTA’s campus or simply start with a campus tour at our Dan Dipert University Welcome Center.
If you’ve finished more than 30 credit hours AND you’ve declared a major then it’s time to meet with a departmental advisor specific to your major. You can find contact information for various departments through The Division of Student Success Advising Center.
Those with significant credit hours from technical coursework are encouraged to schedule an appointment to speak with a University Studies advisor in University College regarding the Technical Pathways Program. This program will help to maximize as many of your earned credits as possible.
If you’re not sure what you’d like to major in and need help exploring, are currently undeclared for a major or have less than 30 credit hours, the University Advising Center in University College is the place for you. The University Advising Center website contains information and links about the location and hours of the Center, the advising staff and their contact information, what you will learn when working with your advisor, an online appointment system and more.
Schedule an appointment today with your advisor. Success is just around the corner!
